Code of Conduct
Membership activities include interactive formats which, for maximum effectiveness, require a high level of trust between members. Organisational practices are also discussed in detail. As such members are asked to abide by the following principles:
- Principle of exchange (organisation level) - when sharing information about your organisation's practices, be willing to provide the same type and level of information provided by fellow members. If confidential or proprietory company information is to be exchanged, then a specific agreement should be executed beforehand. Information that could be considered either detrimental to, or against the competitive interests of, your organisation, should not be exchanged. Do not pass on findings to another organisation without permission from the source.
- Principle of use (organisation level) - the use of another member organisation's name with the data obtained or the practices observed requires the prior permission of that organisation. Contact lists or any other contact information provided by the Best Practice Club in any form may not be used for commercial purposes.
- Principle of completion - follow through commitments made to member colleagues in a timely manner.
- Principle of understanding - understand how other members would like to be treated. Be professional, honest, courteous and prompt.
- Contact with Best Practice Club partners for the express purpose of promoting your own company’s products and services is a breach of the code of conduct.
- Benchmarking activities and transfer of information should be carried out in compliance with the principles laid out in the European Benchmarking Code of Conduct.
