Best Practice Makes Perfect!

Sustainability

Looking up some definitions of Sustainability, one of the most simplest of explanations that I found was 'a  balance between Production and Consumption'  I like this definition, it's one that could be applied to us in relationships, sitting at a desk in an office, working on the factory floor or travelling by aeroplane to our holiday destination.

Vicky Bullivant is the Head of Global Sustainability for Rolls-Royce and the host of our next meeting of the HSE Group, in Derby on 31st January.  Vicky will be taking us through the Rolls-Royce Approach to Sustainability  Also at the event will be Frances Fay of AMEC - her presentation - The Challenge of Sustainability in Today's Climate.

This session is open to all delegates to discuss their own issues and solutions.Attendees are encouraged to bring examples of problems they have faced within their work experiences and describe how those issues and problems were tackled.

If you would like to check availability for a place at this event - please get in touch with us.

Club Wiki

The Best Practice Club Wiki is a unique member driven knowledge base.  It’s really easy to contribute to and to use. This is knowledge management at its most powerful because of the simplicity with which anyone can add or retrieve the knowledge. If you’ve ever added anything to Wikipedia you probably don’t need anything much explained to you but even if you haven’t you don’t need to know a great deal more!  To use the Wiki you must be registered so please email the Club to do so.  If you’re already registered click Best Practice Club Wiki to log on.
